The restoration and repair of family heirlooms has always been a specialty of Peter Indorf Designs, and we do a great job. Just ask our clients.
We can perform something as simple as polishing and cleaning, to something as complex as a complete restoration of a vintage jewelry piece, re-cutting or repairing damaged diamonds or other precious gems. We incorporate the latest in technology for extremely detailed craftsmanship and special repairs that are not possible using traditional methods. Our services include:
Cleaning and Inspection
Our jewelry professionals will inspect your pieces to make sure your jewelry is safe and secure. Jewelry inspection is preventive maintenance. If you have your jewelry checked regularly, we can help you discover small problems before they become costly.
Our free cleaning includes hydrostatic, ultrasonic and steam cleaning. We can polish your old or scratched jewelry and make it look like new again.
We love how excited our customers get when they see their jewelry sparkling like new. Send in your jewelry today – you have to see it to believe it!
Diamond Re-cutting & Certification
Diamonds can be recut to remove problem areas and create a more beautiful and valuable diamond. We also offer certification of diamonds by the Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA) Gem Trade Lab, and the American Gem Society (AGS) Laboratories.
Diamonds can be laser engraved (on the girdle/outer edge) with the GIA or AGS report number. This is done in a microscopic-size font and is valuable if your diamond is lost or stolen. It is also useful to reference the GIA and AGS database for your report in the future.
Start wearing your favorite pieces again, let us resize your rings and re-tip prongs so you can confidently and safely wear your favorites.
Diamond/Gemstone Sourcing and Matching
Our diamond and gemstone experts can find a match to a missing gem in your jewelry from our vast network. Making up pairs and sets for custom pieces is also available.
We offer cleaning and restringing for pearls as well as colored gem beads.
DID YOU KNOW…Just as you would have the prongs on your diamond ring checked, it is important to restring your fine pearls approximately every year or two depending on wear to preserve them.
