The general process for custom design is simple and geared to make sure that you are delighted with the results.
The initial appointment is complimentary. Any gems you want to use are evaluated, ideas are sketched and a preliminary estimate is given. If you are comfortable with the design and preliminary estimate, we then ask for a $500 deposit to cover the time required to develop a computer aided design (CAD) rendering in three dimensions. Please see below for examples.
We meet again in a week or two to review the finished CAD rendering and design proposal with a firm price quote. We ask the client to sign off on the proposal and provide additional funds to bring the deposit up to half of the proposed price.
Completion can vary from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on complexity and our shop workload. Each custom design is signed and comes with an appraisal for the purpose of securing insurance coverage.
